Design Your Life

A conversation about making life decisions and some of the tools we've used to help us on our way.
7

Woah, last Friday we had a wildly energetic conversation about a multi-day intensive we both did several years ago called FocusLabs. After we ended the live I sent Liz a message asking if we should re-watch because I felt like we were so passionate our intensity might been jarring for some.

But since we weren’t forcing anyone to join us, jarred parties could just click away, amiright?!?

Needless to say we were at an 11 for about an hour straight and we are about to go LIVE again in a few short hours. (9am PST / 12pm EST / 6pm MY HOUSE) You’ll get an email notification when we go live so just click on the link.

The paradigm shifting program was started by our Portland-based, mutual friend, Ken. As you’ll note from the 2-minute clip below, I chose to do FocusLabs shortly after turning forty and right before ending my last maternity leave. The intentional time helped me process some huge milestones in my life and it was better than any birthday or push present out there!

When Liz did her intensive with Ken she was so inspired that she became a certified FocusLab facilitator that is now using her incredible gifts of challenge and curiosity to help others get clarity on their own life. If you’re at all interested about what FocusLabs offers you can check out her website HERE to learn more.

Btw, this is not a paid sponsorship but if you’re reading this Ken, I’ll take some Portland coffee or Hot-sauce next time you swing through France.

The main point of our full conversation in this episode was to keep intentional living at the forefront of our life so we don’t let life just happen to us! Sure, there is so much we can’t control, but there are simple questions and reflections that can help us filter and simplify our life if we just take a bit of time to try and…design our life.

One future episode could be all about asking good questions? Something Liz and I also geek out about.

What do you say, Liz? Would we go to an 11 again? A 12? Internal combustion? Possibly.

Hope to see many of you in a few hours on our next LIVE!

Love,

Joy

p.s. This mom joke I shared made Liz laugh hard. Going forward this will be my endorphin getting goal each time we chat.
