My personal reflections on Matt and Beth Redman's documentary "Let There Be Light" which helps us bring important truths out of the darkness, including some of my own.
As another person who holds their own story of abuse of power, I am grateful for your vulnerability and action (representing authors who speak truth to power). Lord have mercy.
This- “…confident that there will be more accountability and freedom for my children to hopefully exist in a church culture that heals far more than it covers up hurt.” 👏🏽👏🏽
Truly appreciate you speaking about the hard and difficult. You have given many the gift of going first, so that they might have a cushion to upon which to land when they tell their own stories. ❤️
So appreciate your heart in sharing this. We are here for both the serious and the silly posts. Such a good point about people not believing it is possible because of who they believe someone to be and being unwilling to lay down their perceptions for fear of what that unravels.
Thank you for sharing. ❤️ Here for the laughs, but also the serious. It’s important to hold both. Thank you for supporting voices that boldly do just that.
Thanks for being vulnerable, Joy.
Your post brought be back to a quote that's been resonating for me (from novelist P.C. Hodgell): "That which can be destroyed by truth should be."
Thanks for the shout-out in your piece! Wow, it's an honor to be included in a group with Katelyn & Tiffany.
Yes! And happy book launch day!!!!

Ah, happy for you two to know each other. Good humans indeed.
“Let us approach the throne of grace with CONFIDENCE, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Keep going Joy!💕
Thank you for the confidence Stephanie! (And for coming over to babysit tonight!)

You said it better than I did! 😍 Thank you!
Proud of you for writing this post. 👏🏻
Wow. Thank you Joy. Yes to telling the truth. Yes to believing those who do.
This is so helpful Joy, I'll be checking out the documentary...
I’d be curious to know your thoughts. As one of my favorite Brits. 😊
